Services are available globally. Gerry has worked in 25 countries and has extensive experience providing services in each of the following areas:
Gerry served for seven years as CEO of Society of Corporate Compliance and Ethics & Health Care Compliance Association, immersed in current emerging practices in compliance and ethics, as well as expectations of regulators and enforcement agencies, at the global level. He previously served for two years as Chief Compliance and Operating Officer for a global scientific society and performed dozens of compliance investigations and compliance audits for a wide variety of clients.
Gerry conducted dozens of fraud investigations, including those involving multi-national organizations and collaboration with government enforcement agencies. He was the Chair of the Board of Regents of the Association of Certified Fraud Examiners (ACFE) and served on the ACFE’s expert faculty for twelve years, providing antifraud education globally. He is the author or co-author of three ACFE workshop texts, and has authored three books on fraud published by John Wiley & Sons. Gerry also provided antifraud services to clients across numerous industries, including fraud risk assessments, design of fraud-related data analytics, assessing fraud-related internal controls, and development of customized fraud awareness training.
Gerry developed and presented a two-day hands-on workshop on ERM and has provided ERM services ranging from first-time implementation of ERM systems to integrating best practices for more mature ERM programs. He co-led the ERM practice for a global advisory firm. While at SCCE, Gerry led a team of SMEs in authoring guidance on the application of the COSO ERM framework to the management of compliance risks, aligning the current framework for compliance and ethics programs with that most commonly utilized ERM framework.
Gerry’s professional career began in the audit field. He conducted hundreds of financial and compliance audits and also served as a quality control reviewer for audits performed in a large-firm environment. He developed and presented one-day and two-day workshops on audits issues that he delivered publicly and privately for over a thousand auditors. Gerry also provided outsourced and co-sourced internal audit services for dozens of clients across several sectors.
